History of Magna Careline Limited
Based in Poundbury near Dorchester in Dorset, Magna Careline Limited (MCL) has been trading since 1989 and is a separate Industrial and Provident Society company within the Magna Housing Group.
The company began offering its essential alarm monitoring service to Magna residents, and has grown considerably since then with high demand for the service from both residents and non-residents in the local area.
As technology has developed, so have we, and as well as our core area of business in customer alarm monitoring, we offer comfort calls to our customers and a wide range of products to help them to remain independent but safe within their homes.
Because our call centre is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, we began offering an 'out-of-hours' service for other organisations including housing associations, local government and corporate clients, and have in place several disaster recovery partnerships. Both initiatives allow these organisations to increase their efficiency through reduced overheads.
As part of Magna Housing Group, we are a responsible and dedicated employer with a duty to provide protection for our staff. We help do this through lone worker protection technology, which has been so successful that we now offer the service to other organisations, many of whom have staff working alone in isolated areas.
Using the latest technology, including Tunstall’s PNC6 Platform, MCL currently has in excess of 11,500 connections. |
