Keysafes
A keysafe is a small safe attached to your outside wall. Easy to install, you keep a spare key inside and choose a unique number combination to allow your contacts and the emergency services access.
It is manually operated, with a quick push button combination key pad. It is manufactured from corrosion resistant zinc alloy.
It stores 2-3 Yale type of keys or 1 Chubb type key and is supplied with a black neoprene cover to protect the Keysafe from the elements and hide it away from view.
How does it work?
The combination of the keysafe can be chosen by you. We normally recommend a 5 to 7 digit code to aid with the security.
The key is accessed by pressing the key code followed by the ‘open’ button. Remove the lid and take the key(s) which is securely held by a clip.
This code would be securely held by our 24 hours telecare monitoring centre and given to the emergency services in order to get you medical assistance as soon as possible.
We recommend that if you only have 1 emergency contact keyholder then you purchase a keysafe to ensure that, if required, the emergency services can gain quick and easy entrance to your home if an operator is unable to contact your emergency contact keyholder.
What are the requirements for installation?
• To be mounted on a flat surface, such as concrete or brick
• Mounted in a hidden area from view outside the property
